We source grapes from various vineyard locations in Napa, Sonoma and Santa Barbara Counties in California.

Instead of owning a vineyard we have the unique ability to source fruit from those who spend the necessary time tending to their vineyards to produce exceptional grapes. Being able to select vineyards based on the location, climate and weather patterns, soil, and sustainable farming practices enables us to produce quality wine.

Each year, our selection of vineyards, grapes, and winemaking techniques is curated with the enjoyment of the largest consumer base in mind: women. The distinctive approach of sourcing grapes from diverse vineyards and regions not only mitigates risks associated with factors like fires, heat waves, drought, and climate change but also enhances the success of our wine library. The absence of vineyard ownership is not a limitation but rather a unique advantage. It allows us to craft a range of wine varieties in different styles from some of the finest vineyard sites. Our small-lot production emphasizes a meticulous approach, with each wine crafted barrel by barrel.

2023 Vintage

2023 Vintage

Trousseau Gris

Our 2023 vintage debuts only one wine in 2024 with the other two coming in 2025 (a red blend and a Blanc de Blancs). We are really learning the value of patience this year!

Our 2023 white is a Trousseau Gris! Haven’t heard of it? That’s because it’s very rare with one (known) vineyard growing this grape varietal in the US.

Our 2023 vintage yields a very rare wine varietal

  • Trousseau Gris Russian River Valley

Fanucchi-Wood Road Vineyard in Sonoma County

Forget Pinot Noir in the Russian River Valley we’re serving up this rare varietal, Trousseau Gris!

Haven’t heard of this wine before? You’re not alone! Trousseau Gris is a French grape varietal occasionally found in eastern France (the Jura, Alsace and Lorraine) but it is hard to find elsewhere. Nestled within the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County this varietal finds its exclusive home, cultivated within a single vineyard, marking it as the sole producer of its kind in the United States and possibly the entirety of the New World.

The illustrious Fanucchi-Wood Road Vineyard has a rich heritage with a vineyard site spanning 125 years. Within its expanse lies this 10-acre organic block of Trousseau Gris meticulously farmed by hand, embodying the essence of artisanal farming practices and sustainable agriculture in this renowned wine region.

This white wine has a mouth-watering acidity and medium body with sharp notes of ripe nectarine, fresh peach, golden pear, melon, lush grapefruit, and the kind of minerality you’d be familiar with in a Sancerre.

96.5% Trousseau Gris, 3% Gruner Veltliner, and 0.5% Sauvignon Blanc.

2022 Vintage

2022 Vintage

Our 2022 vintage debuted our new name, ECR Vintners, and our first red! We moved down the California coast to acquire Pinot Noir grapes from Santa Barbara County and stuck with our Chardonnay - grapes from the same vineyard as 2021 - but made in different style (stainless steel).

The 2022 vintage results in our first red and overall wine classics

  • Lindsay's Vineyard in Sta. Rita Hills, Santa Barbara County

Our 2022 Pinot Noir kicks off our first red.

The Sta Rita Hills AVA in Santa Barbara County is known for cool breezes entering this AVA from three sides making it a premier cool-climate AVA. Lindsay’s Vineyard in particular is a 205 -acre rolling site featuring several distinct limestone-based soil types. This cool, coastal influenced area is home to premier Pinot Noir grapes.

Our 2022 Pinot Noir has bright and supple notes of red cherry, strawberry, wild blackberry and juicy red plum that settles with fragrant floral notes to give lively aromatics. Floral notes of blooming rose and fresh flowers enchant the nose and when matched with the expressive display of red fruit gives a classic representation of Pinot Noir. But there is always the terroir of Pinot Noir, no? It finishes with a subtle saline minerality that can be best described as coastal earthiness thanks to that salty sea spray near the coast in Santa Barbara.

100% Pinot Noir aged in neutral oak with 1% of the varietal from Rodgers Creek Vineyard in Sonoma County blended in. Why does that vineyard sound familiar? It is the vineyard where we have sourced our 2021 and 2022 vintages for Chardonnay grapes.

  • Rodgers Creek Vineyard in Sonoma County

Our 2022 Chardonnay grapes come from Rodgers Creek vineyard in the Petaluma Gap AVA of Sonoma County. This is our second vintage using these Chardonnay grapes for good reason! The block where our grapes come from sits on the eastern edge -about 600 feet above sea level. Constant wind and fog means later ripening Chardonnay which created a vibrant and refreshing wine with notes of tart yellow apple, citrus, and grapefruit with mild impressions of a salty minerality.

The Chardonnay was aged in stainless steel so it has no oak properties. If you think you don’t like Chardonnay because of the “typical” California Chardonnays you’re used to then this one is for you!

2021 Vintage

2021 Vintage

The 2021 vintage kicked off our first vintage of wine and first name! Formerly Façade Wine, we began with a Sauvignon Blanc and a Chardonnay. Two delicious classics we hope you enjoy!

2021 kicks off our first wine vintage with two popular whites

  • Morgaen Lee Vineyard in Napa Valley

Our 2021 Sauvignon Blanc grapes come from the Morgaen Lee Vineyard in the Yountville AVA region of Napa Valley. The vineyard sits on the valley floor and is known for crisp mornings and sunny afternoons - a diurnal swing that lends to its high acidity and balance. Flavors of guava, melon, peach, citrus (lemon and grapefruit) and a hint of grass will leave you feeling refreshed. Upon first sip it has a little zing and settles with a longer finish of tropical fruit as it introduces that mouth-watering acidity.

The Sauvignon Blanc is 100% Sauvignon Blanc comprised of aging in 75% neutral barrel/25% stainless steel.

Note: This is the last vintage of Sauvignon Blanc from Morgaen Lee Vineyard as they replanted the vineyard shortly after harvest. Get it before it sells out!

  • Rodgers Creek Vineyard in Sonoma County

Our 2021 Chardonnay grapes come from Rodgers Creek vineyard in the Petaluma Gap AVA of Sonoma County. The block where our grapes come from sits on the eastern edge -about 600 feet above sea level. Constant wind and fog means later ripening Chardonnay which you can taste in the flavor profile - ripe green apple, blossom and citrus flavors abound.

The Chardonnay is comprised of 99.5% Chardonnay and 0.5% dry Riesling. The Riesling gives it that extra Zsa Zsa Zsu. The Chardonnay was aged in new French oak for 9 months giving it notes of French vanilla as it finishes with a lasting creaminess synonymous of crème brulée.
